AGXN Consulting SEZC (“AGXN”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a special economic zone company incorporated under the laws of the Cayman Islands, with a registered office at Signal House, Fairbanks Road, George Town KY1-9012, Cayman Islands.
This Privacy Policy explains how AGXN collects and processes personal data through the AttorneyID mobile application, which is owned and operated by AGXN (the “App”). The App provides digital credentials for people enrolled in the LegalBridge service who are either attorneys registered with the Legal Services Supervisory Authority (the “LSSA”) in the Cayman Islands, or legal representatives registered as supervised by an LSSA-registered attorney. This Privacy Policy applies to individuals who download, activate, or use the App.
This Privacy Policy covers the App. The processing of personal data within your LegalBridge account on legalbridge.ky is described in the Privacy Policy for legalbridge.ky, and use of LegalBridge is governed by the LegalBridge Terms and Conditions of Use (the “LegalBridge Terms”). Where an organisation uses our products for its own operations, that organisation determines the purposes and means of processing and is responsible for providing its own notices to the people whose data it collects.
Questions about this Privacy Policy or requests in respect of personal data that AGXN holds as the Data Processor in connection with the App, should be sent to:
If you use the App through an organisation or individual that has deployed our technology, please contact that organisation first. We will generally need the organisation’s instructions before we can consider a request that relates only to data we process on its behalf.
The App is intended only for LSSA-registered legal professionals or persons supervised by the same. The App is not intended or permitted for use, under any circumstances, by persons under the age of 18 years. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the App. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us through the App, please contact us immediately to address the same.
Depending on how you use the App, we may collect and process:
Once you activate the App, it stores your credentials in encrypted, secure storage on your device and works offline. Credentials held on your device are protected by automatic locking when the App is closed, automatic masking of sensitive information, and biometric authentication where available and enabled.
Biometric authentication uses the facilities built into your device’s operating system. AGXN does not receive, collect or store your fingerprint, face or other biometric data. Your device only tells the App whether authentication was successful.
The App may ask for access to the following features of your device. You can manage these permissions in your device settings at any time, but some features of the App may not work without them:
We use personal data collected through the App to:
AGXN develops and makes available technology products (including identity verification applications and hosted platforms). When a customer organisation uses those products in its own operations:
This Privacy Policy does not replace any notice that such an organisation must give to those individuals.
Where the Data Protection Act (2021 Revision) (the “DPA”) requires a lawful basis, if it has any applicability at all, we rely on one or more of the following for App processing: performance of a contract or steps at your request before a contract; our legitimate interests in providing a secure and reliable identity credential service (balanced against your rights); compliance with a legal obligation; and consent, where we ask for it (for example, optional diagnostic data). You may withdraw consent without affecting processing that already took place.
We may share App-related personal data with:
We do not sell personal data. We do not use personal data from the App for advertising, and we do not permit advertising networks to build profiles from the App.
Apple and Google, which operate the app stores through which the App is distributed, may collect information about your download and use of the App under their own privacy policies. This Privacy Policy does not govern their processing.
The App’s supporting systems may be hosted, and our personnel and vendors may be located, in the Cayman Islands or in other countries. Where the DPA requires safeguards for a transfer of personal data out of the Islands, we use a mechanism permitted by the DPA and guidance of the Ombudsman.
We use organisational, technical and administrative measures intended to protect personal data under our control, including encrypted storage on your device and biometric protection of your credentials. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device secure, and you should contact us immediately if your device is lost or stolen so that your credentials can be deactivated.
Individuals whose personal data AGXN holds may have rights under the DPA, including (subject to the DPA’s conditions and exceptions) rights to be informed, to access, to rectify inaccurate data, to restrict or object to certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to the Office of the Ombudsman of the Cayman Islands.
Requests relating to App data should be sent in the first instance to privacy@agxn.consulting. We may need to verify your identity. If you choose not to provide personal data, or you limit our processing, we may be unable to activate the App or provide some of its features.
Requests that relate to data inside a customer organisation’s use of our products should be directed to that organisation. If you contact us instead, we will refer the request to the organisation where appropriate.
We keep App-related personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to meet legal, accounting and security requirements and to deal with disputes. We keep records of credential checks for as long as needed to provide an auditable record. We keep diagnostic data for short operational periods unless we need it to investigate security or misuse.
Credentials stored on your device remain there until you delete the App.
We keep this Privacy Policy under review. The current version will be available on legalbridge.ky. We may change it at any time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the “Effective Date” and, where appropriate, by a notice in the App.
This Privacy Policy is intended to be read with the DPA and the laws of the Cayman Islands. Nothing in it limits any right that cannot lawfully be limited.
